August 1: Sand Sculpting Contest, Ocean City
It's the second one of the season. Bring your suntan lotion and sculpting tools! 9 am

August 1, 8, 15, 22, 29: Concerts on the Green, Laurel Springs
Free concerts at 7 pm.

August 1-29: Sandy Hook Summer Beach Concert Series, Sandy Hook
A different local NJ band every week. Wed. 6 pm - 8 pm.

August 2-5: 13th Annual Clam Festival, Highlands
Fresh succulent seafood, Landlubber menu, BBQ, thrill rides, games, live entertainment and much, much more!

August 2, 9, 16, 23, 30: Ocean City Boardwalk Family Nights, Ocean City
Free Family Entertainment - bands, face painters, karaoke, magicians, string band.
Thurs. 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm.

August 3: 75th Annual Baby Parade, Cape May
Parade for young children and families with bands, floats and more.

August 3, 10: Drive-In Movies, Bridgewater
Travel back in time with Drive-In movies just like in the 50's - complete with large screen and popcorn.

August 3-12: New Jersey State Fair / Sussex County Farm & Horse Show, Augusta
Fair features agricultural events, animals, horse show, carnival, vendors, crafts, food, free entertainment and more.

August 4: $1.5 Million Hambletonian, East Rutherford
One of horse racing's most prestigious events is surrounded by a country-style fair featuring live music, pony rides, carnival games and fun for the whole family.

August 11-12: Greenberg's Great Train & Toy Expo, Edison
America's largest traveling train show - 500 tables of trains, operating model railroads, seminars and more.

August 15: Atlantic City Airshow, Atlantic City
One of the largest airshows in the country, unique in its location over the beach, ocean and Boardwalk.

August 18: 26th Annual Yellow Brick Road Doll Show & Sale, Mullica Hill
More than 60 sellers of dolls & toys. All categories antique, collectible & new.

August 25: 14th Annual Festival of Lights, Burlington
Enjoy a full day and evening full of family fun activities featuring more than a dozen illuminated and decorated boats that create a dazzling parade up the Delaware River.

August 25: Murder Mystery, Belvidere
Attend Four Sisters Winery Murder Mystery Dinner for a night of suspense. Dine on tasty food and extraordinary wine.

August 30: Chicken Bone Beach Jazz Series, Atlantic City
A series of free jazz concerts on Thurs. evenings in August on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.
